Etowah Utilities offers a range of public utility services and is one of the departments of the City of Etowah. Located in Etowah, Tenn., it provides electricity, purchased from Tennesse Valley Authority, across McMinn, Monroe and Polk counties. It also distributes natural gas to the counties and other distributors. Etowah Utilities further engages in water purification and provides potable water for domestic and commercial use to citizens from the Hiwassee river. Some of the department's other services include sewer tapping, residential sprinkler water tapping and gas main extensions.
