Dr. Emanski graduated summa cum laude from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry. He attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Following residency he traveled to New York for additional training in spine surgery and complex spine care at the prestigious Louis A. Goldstein Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of Rochester. "My philosophy is that spine surgery is highly effective when performed on the right patient and for the right reasons," said Dr. Emanski. "I believe in thorough non-operative care and work closely with Physiatry/PMR doctors, physical therapists, and chiropractors to exhaust all nonoperative options before pursuing surgery. A combination of imaging and diagnostic testing combined with a patient?s response to nonoperative treatment all play a crucial role in identifying those that will benefit from surgery and help achieve optimal results." Dr. Emanski has an interest in all aspects of spine care with a special interest in cervical and lumbar degenerative disease, spine trauma, and adult deformity. He has also undergone additional training for minimally invasive procedures.
