Hawkins Mill Elementary School, an educational campus, is a part of Memphis City Schools, which enrolls students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. It provides classes to more than 450 students in kindergarten through grade six and conducts classes in math, science, social studies and English. The school offers basic learning sessions in physical education, music, and arts and crafts. It also provides an accelerated reader, early childhood, Terrific Kids and Our Children Our Future programs. Hawkins Mill Elementary School additionally organizes field trips and family literacy nights. The school employs a staff of over 35 teachers and paraprofessionals, including guidance counselors, library media specialists and speech therapists.
