History
Daybreak is proud to be the first Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) to be fully certified by the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification. Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an evidence-based cognitive-behavioral treatment developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan at The University of Washington. DBT has proven to be effective for adolescents struggling with emotional regulation. Using both acceptance and change strategies, DBT aims to help children and adolescents who struggle to manage intense emotions, impulsive behaviors, or self-destructive urges by replacing these problem behaviors with skills to build a life worth living.
