First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Cookeville, Tennessee has been serving the community for over 175 years, initially meeting jointly with other denominations before becoming the first organized church in the area in 1867. Under the visionary leadership of Rev. Logan Tilghman, the congregation made the decision to relocate in the early 1960s to their current location on East 10th Street, experiencing continued growth ever since.
As a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian denomination, the church is part of a connectional Church, belonging to the Murfreesboro Presbytery and Tennessee Synod. With a strong belief in sharing Christ with the world, they strive to go deep into the Word and widely into the World, inviting others to join them on their spiritual journey for the glory of God.
