Michael Christian Allan, MD, a fellowship-trained, triple board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist who specializes in heart rhythm disorders, such as Afib. Dr. Allan introduced the Watchman left atrial appendage closure to Chattanooga as a treatment for persistent Afib in patients who cannot tolerate blood thinners. To date, he has performed more Watchman procedures than any physician in the city. He has also introduced zero-fluoroscopy ablation to the area so that arrhythmias like SVT and Afib can be fixed with no radiation exposure to the patient. Dr. Allan earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and received his fellowship from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
