Blount County, nestled at the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, is home to the cities of Maryville, Alcoa, Louisville, Townsend, Friendsville and Rockford, Tenn. The Blount County Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1920 and is an accredited chamber of commerce. The chamber is an one-stop information source for chamber members, tourists and new businesses and industry. The chamber has grown to 1,300 members doing business in Blount County and surrounding areas. The chamber cultivates the business climate of the area through various projects. It is the only agency representing both large and small companies at all levels of the community and government. The chamber is also a part of the Blount Partnership. The Blount County Partnership is a cooperative effort among four of the county's key development organizations including Blount County Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Board, Smoky Mountain Convention and Visitors Bureau and Chamber Foundation.
