BIOGRAPHY Dr. Barrett is a 2002 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed a residency in orthopaedics at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics in 2006, becoming the Chief Resident Physician through 2007. A Fellowship in Joint Replacement at The Anderson Clinic (Engh) - Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute in Alexandria, Virginia was completed in July 2008. As well as Joint Replacement, Dr. Barrett works on partial (unicompartmental) and Deuce (bicompartmental) joint replacement, revision joint replacement of the hip and knee, as well as hip resurfacing. Dr. Barret has authored eleven (11) published articles in major orthopaedic journals. Three of these were published in Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, the foremost journal in the field of orthopaedics. Dr. Barrett was also the primary author of the two textbook chapters focused on orthopaedics and joint replacement. Dr. Barrett enjoys activities time with his wife and son, as well as golf, tennis, hunting and fishing. He is accomplished in guitar and piano, an avid marathon runner and does woodworking and carpentry for fun. He is involved also in church activities.
