HistoryRheatown Store is located in the Rheatown area (Chuckey TN 37641) one of the oldest communities in Greene County TN, first settled in the early 1780's. The store is located at the intersect of Rheatown Rd and the historic Old Stage Rd which connected Jonesborough (Tennessee's oldest known town) to Greeneville centuries ago. The store is rumored to have served as a jail, the town hall and a laundromat before being changed to a convenience store 38 years ago by Patsy Pirozzali. Patsy recently retired but still comes into the store, is in regular contact with Rob and the staff and carries the store note personally.SpecialtiesRheatown Store is located a few hundred yards off 11E on Rheatown Rd in Chuckey TN. We have gas, groceries, a grill and games. We have a deli, ATM, Lottery, breakfast lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Our biscuits & gravy (as well as many more items) are made from scratch by the owner Rob or by our long time and beloved employees Crystal Jean & Courtney. Come on out and meet the ladies, they'll be happy to serve you. Also at our market, you'll meet Luann, Selena, Sierra, Denise, Ricky and Don! We have live bluegrass pickers every Saturday night, Karaoke on Friday nights and lunch specials everyday! Rheatown Store is a full service convenience store with gas, diesel, ethanol free fuel, kerosene and propane. We also have bagged ice, outside soda machines, hardware, plumbing parts and bait & tackle. We have groceries, drinks, snacks, a dining room and a music room. We have batteries, gloves, tools, chew, smokes and cigars. We have parking in front, on the side and in the rear of the building. We do not sell alcohol of any kind. We are building a rear deck overlooking the creek with stairs to access the rear parking lot as well as a door into the dining room. A full building makeover and facelift will be happening in 2018 including a brand new updated handicap accesible restroom.
