Established in 1994, Youth Enrichment Services is a nonprofit organization that provides educational programs for minority children living in public housing and economically disadvantaged communities. The organization offers various programs for mentoring, counseling and rehabilitation of adolescents and troubled youths. Youth Enrichment Services provides Diversion 2000, a monitoring and mentoring program for juvenile offenders. Its mentoring programs focus on academic improvement, cultural enrichment, career development and life skills enhancement of youths. The organization also provides tutoring support for preteens who need academic assistance. Its Peer-Assisted Study Session Program is an after-school program for students up to the age of 12 and serves more than 15 students per day. Youth Enrichment Services has a staff of over 15 teen mentors and its offices are equipped with educational textbooks, hands-on learning games and computers.
