Dr. David Woodard is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in treating injuries in athletes and active individuals at Monument Health Orthopedics & Specialty Hospital. He was born and raised in Brookings, South Dakota. He earned his medical degree from University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine in Vermillion. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Loma Linda University Hospital in Loma Linda, California and then his fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery from the University of Missouri in Columbia. He specializes in injuries and pain in the elbows, shoulders, knees and hips with training in minimally invasive techniques that focus on joint preservation and shoulder arthroplasty. Dr. Woodard is a husband and father of three and enjoys traveling, hiking, and camping with his family.
