Park Place Corporation was included in the 20th Annual South Carolina Top 100 in 2004, a ranking of the state s largest privately-held companies. The company was founded in 1931 as Orders Mattress Company. Park Place Corporation is located on a 40-acre campus in a Century 2000, state-of-the-art facility. Park Place manufactures mattresses and upholstered furniture. The company is one of the largest independent mattress manufacturers in the country, and offers a variety of sofas, sectionals, sleepers, chairs, ottomans and nearly a dozen mattress styles. Park Place also utilizes an affiliate network to provide coast-to-coast service to a large customer base. Founded during the throes of the Great Depression, the company continues to operate under the direction of three third-generation members of the Orders family.
