Lisa Trautman is a double-boarded nurse practitioner in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Practice. She graduated from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her career path included diverse nursing specialties such as adult, pediatric and neonatal intensive care, and outpatient clinics treatment specific in physical, mental, or behavioral health conditions within university teaching hospitals as well as community hospitals. This particular career trajectory afforded Lisa a deeper understanding of patients’ individual lived experiences thru authentic communication. Her belief that all persons deserve equitable and accessible high-quality care was the driving force to pursue higher education. Initially, Lisa graduated from Olivet Nazarene University Chicago, Illinois in 2018 with a Master’s of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner concentration and immediately reentered school at Anderson University Anderson, SC and completed in 2020 a Post-Master’s Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Lisa’s advanced nurse practitioner career has included treating patients aged child through adult at a psychiatric private practice in addition to supervising a medically managed weight loss clinic located within the local hospital. In her practice, Lisa forms partnerships with the patients, their families, the community, and the multidisciplinary team to individualize a plan of care.
