Tidelands Health Wound Healing Center takes a multidisciplinary approach to wound management. Doctors and nurses use advanced treatments to treat patients with chronic, non-healing wounds that will not heal through the body's natural healing process or other treatment. Among the types of wounds treated at Tidelands Health Wound Healing Center are diabetic ulcers, lower leg ulcers, infections, pressure ulcers, wounds on the feet or lower legs and other wounds that have not healed within 30 days. After an initial evaluation, a treatment program is developed in conjunction with the patient's referring physician. Progress is meticulously documented and treatments adjusted accordingly at each subsequent visit. Once a wound has healed, patients return to their primary care or referring physician for follow-up care and continued treatment for any related ailment such as diabetes or hypertension.
