Dog Spa was founded in 2003 by Dana Cowden. Dana started her grooming career in 1994 when she was trained by a certified Master groomer. Dana is a strong believer in making grooming a positive experience for all the dogs that enter her grooming facility. In her spare time she is busy training her two Golden Retrievers, Mango and Lola, for Search and Rescue work with the S.C. Foothills Search and Rescue team. Dana also enjoys spending time with her family and new son, Noah, who was born in January of 2009. Barrett Smith, Groomer, from Columbia S.C. Barrett joined Dog Spa in April of 2008 and is quickly showing off her grooming skills. She is becoming a very popular groomer in the Greenville area. She is a graduate from the Petsmart grooming school and has been grooming for 2 years. In her spare time, she spends time with her Golden Retriever, Cowboy and Longhaired Dachshund, Woodland. She is expecting her first child with her husband Blake in October of 2010. Jennifer Jenkins, Groomer. Jennifer became a member of Dog Spa family in September of 2008. She brings with her over 13 years of grooming experience and a very large clientele. Dana and Jennifer worked together for many years when they first started grooming. Dana is thrilled to have Jennifer join Dog Spa family! In Jennifer's spare time she is very busy keeping up with her 12 year old son, Taylor, and her three dogs, Georgia, Bella and Cassie. She also enjoys volunteering her time to Meals-on-Wheels of Greenville. Amy Hudson, Groomer. Dog Spa family expanded once again with the addition of Amy Hudson in November of 2008. Amy brings with her over 5 years of grooming experience and a passion towards caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes. She has 2 children, ages 12 and 14. In her spare time you will find her at home with her loving husband and kids as well as her 3 dogs. Amy's second passion is with fabric (and she is an avid quilter). She also loves to volunteer in the community, most recently with Meals-on-Wheels of Greenville.
