Cornell Dubilier Electronics manufactures capacitors, including aluminum, film, surface-mounted, pulse, high-voltage, and snubber capacitors, for use in lighting, motor, and power conversion applications. The company also offers contract manufacturing services. Cornell Dubilier was formed in 1933 from the combination of Dubilier Company and Cornell Electric Manufacturing. The company went through a management buyout in 1983. CDE has made a series of acquisitions in recent years, filling out its capacitor product lines. Cornell Dubilier Electronics maintains a location in Liberty, S.C.
