Growing up on the peninsula of Charleston, Martha can give a unique perspective of early American history. Martha has spent over 25 years in Archaeology, and has been a licensed tour guide with the city of Charleston since 2010. Additional guides with Charleston Perspective include Brad Wallace, Martha's Husband, who grew up in Charleston. Brad is a licensed tour guide in Charleston since 2016 and a long time history lover with a degree from the USC in History. Maggie Rice is a 10th generation Charlestonian, licensed tour guide, with a Masters degree in History.

You will learn about the history from its founding in 1670 through wars, fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, the trans-Atlantic slave trade, Gullah-Geechee culture, religious diversity, architecture, and economic swings to present day growth and expansion. You will come away with a better understanding of the role Charleston played in the founding and expansion of this country.
