The Charleston County Human Services Commission is a Community Action Agency (CAA), which was created by the federal government in 1964. The agency offers transportation, employment-related, and housing and financial assistance services. Located in Charleston, S.C., its housing program includes support and placement services for homeless families. The Charleston County Human Services Commission also provides the Early Head Start (EHS) program, which is a federal program that includes child care services.
