The Aiken County Administrator is in charge of implementation of policies, procedures and regulations adopted by the Aiken County Council and ensures compliance of the policies by county departments. Located in Aiken, S.C., the county administrator prepares and recommends the annual operating budget and capital program to county council and supervises the implementation of the approved budget. Additionally, the Aiken County Administrator offers services that include customer service recognition, job openings, risk management, senior citizen s tax work-off and victims assistance. The senior citizens' tax work-off program allows people who are 60 years or older to work for county departments to earn an amount equal to the Aiken County portion of their property taxes. The administrator is also responsible for administration of all county departments under the supervision of council.
