He has successfully apprehended over 200 murder suspects and countless other violent criminals throughout his tenure in NYPD. Through his dogged determination and impeccable case management, Mike has enjoyed a 98% conviction rate. Mike's stallar career has not been overlooked by Hollywood as he has been a special consultant to the hit show NYPD BLUE. Dennis Franz has personally befriended Mike and integrates some of Mike's real cases into the show.Michael also enjoyed a successful career within the NYPD, retiring with the rank of Detective Sergeant. Mike was Commanding Officer within the highly successful Detective Robbery Identification Unit. He has personally supervised over 5, 000 serious criminal investigations during his tenure. In 1992, the Westside Crime Prevention Society, a highly active NY City political organization dedicated to safer streets, awarded Mike "Man of the Year".The American Express Tower was severely damaged after the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
