The Department of Public Works is a part of the government of the Town of West Warwick in Rhode Island. It is responsible for the repair and maintenance of roads, sidewalks and public properties, as well as handles solid waste disposal, recycling and vehicle maintenance operations. The department disposes motor oil, yard waste, cardboards and white goods stickers. The Department of Public Works is also responsible for the pickup of recycling bins. It maintains a highway division that offers snow and ice control, storm drain maintenance, yard waste and leaf debris pickup, weed spraying, litter control and catch basin cleaning services. The department s sanitation division provides curbside garbage disposal services to more than 9,000 households. The Department of Public Works additionally operates vehicle maintenance and recycling divisions.
