ASA began in Branford, Connecticut, in 1990, as ASA Fastening Systems Tools & Supply Inc., specializing in construction fasteners, tools and related supplies. In 1992, in an effort to diversify from the seasonal economic fluctuations of the construction industry and expand into a growth area, ASA Environmental Products, Inc. was created. This new endeavor specialized in unique waste reduction, pollution prevention, and spill response products and systems for the year-round industrial, utility, and marine markets. On March 9, 2001, after moving the operation to Stonington, Connecticut, ASA Fastening Systems Tools & Supply, Inc. and ASA Environmental Products Inc were merged into a single corporation. The name ASA Fastening Systems Tools & Supply, Inc. was terminated, and the surviving name is ASA Environmental Products Inc. As a result of the merger, ASA Environmental Products, Inc. is now a single source SDB, DBE, WBE, & MBE certified supplier of: EPA Compliance Products & Systems Industrial Diesel Fuel Polishing Systems OSHA Compliance Products & Systems Industrial Clean-Up Products & Equipment Facilities & MRO Chemicals, Adhesives & Supplies
