Established in 1964, the South Shore Mental Health Center serves children, adults, senior citizens, adolescents and families in Washington County in Rhode Island. It offers therapeutic, diagnostic, counseling and emergency services. The center administers the Community Support Program. The South Shore Mental Health Center serves more than 1700 adults annually. The center also provides a range of rehabilitative and partial hospitalization solutions. It conducts the Washington County Juvenile Justice program, which serves youths between the ages of 11 and 17. The South Shore Mental Health Center offers family therapy, case management, psychiatric and medication management services. In addition, it provides the Washington County Child and Adolescent Service System program.
