This 101-acre state park straddles Narragansett Avenue and abuts Washington Road. It is open year-round from sunrise to sunset daily, with no fees or reservations needed. The park includes a concrete boat launch facility, 33 picnic sites each with a table and fireplace, hiking and walking trails, ball fields, seasonal farmer's market, fishing spots, public rest rooms, trash containers and free parking. The picnic season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The boat ramp offers access to Bullock Cove, the home of several full-service marinas. Many bicyclists and walkers park here to set out on the East Bay Bike Path, which enters Barrington from the north.

Sherwood Park

This picturesque park is located just off of Route 103 near the Riverside line. It serves primarily as a Barrington Little League field for major and minor league players. But there is a paved walking trail behind the outfield fence and benches and tables for parents, fans and visitors to use year-round. A small paved parking lot has spaces for about a dozen cars. There is a storage building that also houses a concession stand and restrooms.

Allen Bicknell Park

This out-of-the-way neighborhood park offers a baseball field and a wide swath of grass that children can use in any way that meets their imaginations. There is almost no traffic in the area. Plenty of street parking.

Osamequin Nature Trails and Bird Sanctuary

This 38-acre preserve consists of four marked nature trails and a bird sanctuary filled with boxes for small species. The trails wind through woods and wetlands where one can observe migratory waterfowl and shore birds. Wooden and cast iron benches give walkers a place to rest and dogs are allowed. Hunting, camping, fires, trapping and swimming activities are prohibited. This conservation area was founded by the Barrington Garden Club and is located along Hundred Acre Cove just off County Road heading north.
