The Greenwich Odeum is a historical performing arts venue. The old Greenwich Theater was a vaudeville house that opened in 1926. In 1994, a group of volunteers were able to reopen it as the Greenwich Odeum, which enjoyed popularity as one of Rhode Island's premier performing arts venues until 2007, when fire regulations forced a temporary closing. In 2012, the Odeum was reincarnated yet again thanks to devoted community efforts. The theater hosts a wide spectrum of performances, including plays, music, comedy and more.
