The Edward Dexter House, located in the College Hill neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island, is a historic 18th-century wood-frame structure built in 1795. Its well-preserved interior served as a template for a museum space designed by the Rhode Island School of Design to showcase a furniture collection donated by former owner Charles Pendleton.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1971, this Georgian and Federal-style house is a significant contributing property in the College Hill Historic District. Originally situated at the corner of George and Prospect Streets, the house was moved in sections to its current location on Waterman Street in 1860, where it stands as one of the few remaining 18th-century houses in the area.
