The Coventry Housing Authority was founded in 1963.
The authority owns and manages 195 one-bedroom housing units at three locations: 16 Manchester Circle, 30 Mulhearn Dr., and on North Road Terrace. The units are provided to elderly and disabled residents who meet income limits set by the federal department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Applications for residence with the Coventry Housing Authority are taken at the main office, 16 Manchester Circle. Eligible applicants are put on a waiting list. Applicants must be 58 or older, or disabled, to apply.
The Housing Authority also administers the following programs: Housing Choice Voucher Program, The Family Self Sufficiency Program and the Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program, and The Coventry Housing Associates Corporation
