The CCFD station at 240 Arnold Rd. became the main branch for Central Coventry Fire District in 2006. The District was created by the merger of Central Coventry, Harris, Tiogue and Washington Districts.
Aside from keeping residents safe, the firefighters of Central Coventry spend much of their time giving back to the community. The District supports a number of charities and organizations including Project Autism Rhode Island, MS Society, MDA Boot Drive and many more.
Visitors to the station can also check out the hot pink fire engine that is part of the Rhode Island Chapter of Pink Heals, an organization that supports the fight against breast cancer.
To show their holiday spirit, the members of the Central Coventry Fire District offer free pictures with Santa each holiday season as well as Santa's tour on a fire engine around town each year.
