History
The late Albion Dodge Slate built the bar at Club Soda in 1942 using reclaimed wood from the rebuilding the town docks. Surrounding the bar in authentic oak docks and a nautical theme. Then in 1947 Holden D. Wetherbee started painting a mural that circumnavigated the entire island on the walls of the pub from pictures he had taken in the early 1940's. Five years later his masterpiece was complete. The history of the bar is timeless. With the likes of Jim Kelley on the piano the bar has always been a place for folks to dance and gab all night long. It's always a welcome stop for travelers and a home for the locals. Be sure to stop in, visit and make some friends the next time your on the Block. Club Soda is open year round from 3pm till 1am and offers a full menu daily.
