The Borough of Wilson, formed in 1920, is located in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania and has a population of more than 10,000 people. It provides public transportation services through the Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority. The borough s fire department operates a fire station and responds to a variety of fire, rescue and hazardous material incidents. The fire department also conducts fire prevention and public education programs. Its public works department offers a wide range of services, such as sewage disposal, garbage collection, street lighting, and sanitary sewers, and streets and bridges maintenance. It offers a Business Revitalization Pilot Program that provides business coordinator service to fulfill the business needs of the Borough of Wilson. It has various other divisions, including administration, animal control, housing rehabilitation, meter, police and tax office.
