Wexford Dance Academy specializes in ballet instruction for children and adults. It offers a "Creative Movement" class for young children. (The school adheres to the recommendations of The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and The International Association for Dance Medicine and Science, which maintain that the earliest a dancer should begin pointe work is age 12.) The class enables "small children to develop their love for dance as well as music appreciation."
The program for older children goes up to "Pre-Professional 6." The school also operates the Wexford Acting Studio and offers jazz and tap lessons as well as a ballet class specifically for boys.
A class schedule is available on the academy's website.
