Mark Rosenberg established Gemini Bakery Equipment Company in 1972. The company is one of the largest designers and providers of specialty bread and roll equipment and systems in North America. It expanded its product and technical base in 1988 through a partial equity sale agreement with Werner & Pfleiderer, a German manufacturer of bakery equipment. Gemini increased its manufacturing base in 1999 with the purchase of Eastern Bakery Systems. In 2001, Gemini purchased the designs and manufacturing rights to all equipment previously manufactured by Baking Machines.
