Founded in 1973, Valley Youth House provides prevention, intervention, counseling and behavioral health services to abused, neglected and homeless youths and their families. It offers services through professional staff, community volunteers and student interns at schools, family homes, offices and residential facilities in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton counties in Pennsylvania. The organization offers a victim intervention program that includes case management and therapeutic intervention services to victims of child sexual abuse. Valley Youth House additionally offers a child mentoring program on a one-on-one basis, as well as role modeling, tutoring and teaching, life skills development and recreational activities. Its family intervention program includes respite foster care, emergency shelter, parenting, homemaking and medical services. In addition, the organization provides diagnostic services, such as psychiatric, psychological and educational evaluations, as well as individual and family assessments.
