Town and Country Players is a not-for-profit community theater company based out of an historic big, red barn on York Road in Buckingham Township.
The brainchild of local residents Florence Weisel and Lenora Dunn, and Jean and Milton Rutherford, the troupe put on its first show on Feb. 27, 1948, at the Doylestown Borough School at Broad and Court Streets.
Over the years, it has staged such productions as "Don't Drink the Water," "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Bye Bye Birdie."
It also hosts theater workshops.
