HistoryI started making stained glass because it reminds me of my mom. She passed away 13 years ago, but she is my muse, and my children's guardian angel.My Mom was a very talented artist. She made stained glass, pottery, and jewelry. She worked with fused glass and made pendants, did custom stained glass windows, and made beautiful bowls and vases. After she died, it took me years to even be able to look at her work without crying. It never even crossed my mind to try it.I started working with stained glass about a 3 years ago. I had all of the supplies and tools, packed away in the basement, they were my Moms. My Mother-In-Law had sent me the soldering iron about 4 years ago. The first thing I made was the most hideous flower you have ever seen. I started playing with the glass, saw an angel, and the rest, as they say, is history.
