This church is located at the very southwestern edge of Upper Milford Township. In fact, if it was on the other side of the street that bears its name, it would not even be in Lehigh County. It is on the Lehigh/Berks County boundary. What's unusual about Salem Bible is that two church buildings are on the property. The growing congregation got too big for the old church, which was built in 1873, so the new one was built. The old church is now used for the middle and high school youth ministry. Salem also has a Christian school, educating nearly 200 children from pre-school through 12th grade. The old church building originally was home to a Lutheran congregation. It remained a Lutheran church until 1939. The new church, built in 1978, is called the all-purpose building because it also is home to Salem's school.
