NRG Controls North Inc
About 'NRG North'The origins of NRG Controls North, Inc ( NRG North ) began in 1976 with establishment of NRG Controls, Inc At that time the company was founded for the sole purpose of performing automatic temperature control work on the central Pennsylvania commercial construction market. During the period of the formation of the company through the mid 1980's, the concentration of the work was mostly concentrated in the pneumatic controls field since those were the systems, at that time, specified and installed. The period of time from the mid 1980's through the early 1990's were filled with a mixed market of pneumatic control jobs with the transition slowly moving toward the direct digital controls ( DDC ) projects. Since the early 1990's the industry has seen an almost exclusive market of direct digital controls projects, which has paralleled the explosion of electronics and computers throughout the world. Throughout these periods NRG Controls experienced great success in becoming a leader in the Central Pennsylvania controls industry market.Over the years NRG Controls has capitalized upon its' success in Central Pennsylvania, and expanded its' geographic reach, as well as its' areas of technical expertise. In January 2003, NRG Controls acquired the Philadelphia branch office of Invensys, PLC, which branch now operates as CM3 Building Solutions. In May 2003, NRG Controls acquired the Orlando, Jacksonville and Miami, Florida branch region of Invensys, PLC, which operates as MC2, Inc. The Invensys/MC2, Inc offices have many impressive clients including the Orlando Airport, Orange County School District and Cape Canaveral Launching Sites.Prior to the above noted areas of expansion, in the late 1990's, NRG Controls opened a northern Pennsylvania office ( presently NRG North ) in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, under the direction of Brian Scandle. Brian came to NRG Controls from his position as regional branch manager of Johnson Controls. Through Brian's direction, NRG North has enjoyed and achieved similar success to what NRG Controls achieved in the Harrisburg area, making this expansion a success.Over the last several years ownership of each of the divisions noted above has been solidified with principals in each geographic region, with ownership of NRG North being held by Brian M. Scandle and Jeffrey P. Edmunds, Esquire. However, the intereconnectivity of the separate divisions has enabled each to draw upon the other divisions' areas of expertise. Significantly, this structure has achieved the ability for each separately owned division to be responsive to the needs of their region, to control their direction within those regions, while at the same time benefitting from the exchange of knowledge and experience. Future geographic expansion and diversification is expected to be just as successful.NRG North has continued to evolve, along with the needs of our customers, into the premier automatic temperature controls company in the Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania regions. NRG North's strategy towards its employee base has been to compensate its employees above market to attract highly qualified, experienced, staff. This success in hiring has enabled NRG North to provide high-quality service to its close-knit client base and earn their repeat business. With respect to technology within the controls industry, NRG North makes use of phone, e-mail, and internet technologies that allow for the capability and capacity of limitless monitoring outside of traditional boundaries, including:NRG North has also been successful in the development of a service business. The expansion of the service arm of NRG North has been achieved through the relationships with current customers.
