The Reading Hospital and Medical Center is a nonprofit health care facility that provides acute care, rehabilitative, behavioral and occupational health services to the individuals of Berks and surrounding counties in Pennsylvania. Established as The Reading Dispensary in 1867, the hospital is a 665-plus-bed facility offers behavioral health, pain management, interventional radiology and laboratory services. It provides occupational health, respiratory care and pain management solutions. The Reading Hospital and Medical Center also offers emergency, mammography, physical therapy and radiology services. It administers several cochlear implant programs. The hospital maintains diabetes, urgent care and infusion centers.
