Kramer's Greenhouse is a third-generation family business that originated in 1945 on George and Martha Kramer's High Ridge Farm in Robinson Township, Washington County. Starting plants for the family truck farm, Martha Kramer soon started supplying plants to friends and neighbors, dug by the roots from benches of soil and wrapped in newspaper. In 1963, Wayne Kramer and his wife, Helen, built a larger greenhouse at their home on Steubenville Pike " then US 22 " and continued the business with the help of their five children. Today, Chris and Dawn Kramer and the Fourth generation of Kramers welcome long-time customers and new ones to Kramer's Greenhouse, at its newest location on Steubenville Pike in Bavington. Since opening the new location, Kramer?s has become famous for freshly baked pies that are always on hand or baked to order. They also opened the winery in 2009, specializing in fresh fruit wines made from locally grown fruit. As they always have, the Kramers grow every plant they sell from seed, cutting or root division, continuing a tradition of quality that their customers have come to expect. Friendly service, helpful suggestions and always a smile makes buying for your garden a pleasant experience.
