History

This Bar had been in this location for approximately 40 years under two previous owners. Debi and I purchased the Bar in 2009, re-named it The R Bar and started Rockin!. Initially, we had food. This proved to be logistically a problem when we started our real love - The Music. Being a Musician myself, I was able to rely on my many friendships in the Pittsburgh music scene to get us started with some great entertainers. Then by word of mouth from the Bands, we built what we have now. The best music venue in the South Hills - and getting better every day - Blues, Rock, Jazz, and Funk.

Walked in, walked out. So smokey that our clothes even smelled after we left. We really wanted to get something to eat. And we heard that the music was good. Too bad.

Vasta

Vasta Lounge has a large selection of bottled domestic and imported beer and a small selection of draft beer, which includes Miller Light, Budweiser and Yuengling. Liquors are available, as well, and bartenders are capable of many mixed drinks, such as the chocolate cake shot. Every Wednesday is karaoke night and Fridays and Saturdays hosts disc jockeys. While the kitchen is open all day, every day, the bar is open only for nine hours per day.
