Established in 1932, New Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Company No. 8 is a full-service public safety department that works to protect the lives and property of citizens from fire, medical emergencies, hazardous materials and environmental causes through public education and code management. It operates an emergency medical services division that responds to more than 800 medical and trauma calls annually. The department is comprised of over 60 fire personnel and nearly 20 full-time officers. New Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Company operates a junior firefighter program and has a fire training division. It is located in New Bloomfield, Pa.
