Pennsylvania Tool & Gages was founded in May 1954 by Gordon A. Burns and two equal partners. It began operations in a one-story block building occupying 800 square feet of floor space. In September 1958, Burns and his wife became the sole owners of the corporation. In 1963, the company moved to a 20,000 square foot building. In the spring of 1977, PTG moved into a 52,000 square foot facility. It manufactures precision molds, dies, gages, custom machine parts, custom flat ground stock and provides large custom grinding. The company supports the business posture of industrial leaders of the electronics, semiconductors and communication business sectors. The company is in Meadville, Pa.
