Paxtonia Elementary School provides an academic curriculum and enrichment programs to more than 600 students in grades kindergarten through five. The school has counselors that provides small group lessons and individual counseling to students and also works closely with parents, teachers and the community to help students succeed in school. It has a library media center that provides curriculum-related materials and a variety of free reading options for its students. The school provides a wide range of academic courses in its curriculum that includes reading, writing, basic skills, English, math, science, social studies, special education, music, health and physical education. Paxtonia Elementary School is governed by the Central Dauphin School District and is located in Harrisburg, Pa.
