A crown jewel of the Parkland School District, the expansive Parkland High School sits on a bucolic, 128-acre site off N. Cedar Crest Boulevard. It is the district's only high school, serving about 3,200 students in grades 9 to 12 with a strong academic program. A green house, theaters, visual arts studios, an electronic music lab and a TV production studio are among its features. Also, each of its 102 classrooms is equipped with interactive teaching technology. The athletic amenities are many: an eight-lane swimming pool, tennis courts, 10 practice fields, regulation basketball courses, running track and lighted fields for baseball, softball, soccer and field hockey.
