Dr. Muhammad I. Shaikh holds a Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed his residency and fellowship at UPMC Western Psychiatric Institute from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Shaikh is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Patients with compound psychiatric illnesses can be harder to achieve remission. Observed problems include, but are not limited to, medical, neurologic or pharmacologic problems. Dr. Shaikh specializes in helping people with complex problems who have not yet responded to treatment and he strives to combine his extensive experience and treatments to stay at the forefront of emerging medical information. Recently, Dr. Shaikh has received several accolades including the Top Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Award in 2017 and 2021.
