Messiah College is one of the leading Christian colleges in the United States. Established as a school of the Brethren in Christ Church in 1909, the college has campuses in Philadelphia and Grantham, Pa. Approved by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, it is a member of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania, Council of Independent Colleges, Christian College Consortium, and Coalition for Christian Colleges and Universities. In addition to bachelor s and master s degree programs in arts and sciences, Messiah College offers majors, minors and secondary education certification in more than 100 academic disciplines. The college also offers off-campus study opportunities through cooperative arrangements with Brethren Colleges Abroad, Daystar University, and AuSable Institute of Environmental Studies. Its cocurricular program includes more than 20 intercollegiate athletic, outreach and music ministry teams, club and recreational sports, short-term missions, service learning, Bible studies and discipleship groups, and experiential learning opportunities.
