Founded in 1892 through the merger of Ferguson Hose Company and McDonald Independent Hose Company, the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection, prevention and education services. It is administered by the city government of McDonald in Pennsylvania. The department also maintains mutual aid agreements with fire stations in Washington and Allegheny counties in Pennsylvania. The McDonald Volunteer Fire Department operates various fire engines, rescue trucks and ambulances.
