Magee Rehabilitation, a founding member of the Jefferson Health System, is the Philadelphia region's first rehabilitation hospital, opening its doors in 1958. Along with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Magee is one of 16 federally designated model regional spinal cord injury centers, and with MossRehab is part of the brain injury model centers program. It is also home to the nation's first brain injury rehabilitation program to be accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Inpatient and outpatient services are structured to provide lifetime rehabilitation and wellness programs for people with spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, orthopedic, amputation, general rehabilitation, ventilator services and outpatient services. Magee Rehabilitation is located in Philadelphia.
