History
We originally started our business at the end of 2012 at the former Pittsburgh Public Market located at the Strip District. In 2013 we moved to our first brick and mortar where we served only our traditional dishes on the 19th block in Carson street, South Side, we used to be BYOB. We also purchased our first food trailer, the one we move around the city and for private events as well. In 2018 we moved from our first brick and mortar to our current location, 2224 E Carson street, 15203, South Side, right in front of the Birmingham bridge. We also acquired a liquor license. We kept our food truck and catering services available for your convenience. And this is the chronologic history of our business, for more information about us, please visit our website www.lapalapapgh.com Thank you for your support throughout all these years!
Specialties
Our specialties include: Tamales, Mole with Chicken, Flautas, Cakes, among other customer favorites. What we want to show our customers, is a typical Mexican Restaurant with an Urban Environment, not traditional. We are a family and we love to serve homemade food. Our recipes are cooked to perfection with traditional recipe cuisine and little change to the original recipe. We have many Vegetarian and Gluten Free options as well. We are also proud to provide catering services for private parties. Come join us at La Palapa, Mexican Gourmet Kitchen and enjoy our company, service, and mouthwatering tastes of Mexican Cuisine!
