After-school tutoring programs are provided to Newtown students at the Kumon Math and Reading Center. The center works with students in grades kindergarten through 12th. One-on-one tutoring and mentoring are offered to each student. Group support is also provided through the center's customized classes. The Kumon Math and Reading Center is located in a small shopping center in historic Newtown. There is plenty of free parking in the center lot.
